Clockmaker Tony Siegmund
Special workshop for historical clocks and watches

Life of the clockmaker Tony Siegmund

After several years of study material sciences and industrial engineering I decided at the age of 21 to begin an education as a watchmaker at Glashütte which I completed successfully within 2 years. In the same year I achieved the title as the best watchmaker of the german state Saxony. In 2014 I also achieved the 2nd place of german watchmakers.

At august of the same year I completed successfully the class of master watchmakers at the Feintechnikerschule in Villingen-Schwenningen.

During the master class the construction and production of a precision clock with a modified Strasser Escapement and an Invar Compensated Pendulum was made by me (as seen on the left image).

At the age of 13 I started my watch and clock collection. At this time I also started maintaining those and gained a lot of experience on diffrent calibers (watches and clocks). For example I gained experience in repeater watches, chronographes in different constructions and various escapements (comma escapement, rubin cylinder, Chronometer escapement, and much more).
